Introduction
In the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers Party), or NSDAP, directly beneath the Führer (Hitler/The Leader), was the Reichsleitung der NSDAP (Reich Leadership of the Nazi Party). The Reichsleiters (Reich Leaders) worked directly for Adolf Hitler and reported only directly to him. The membership of this powerful group varied depending upon need, but because many times they acted as Hitler's personal "troubleshooters," they were naturally very powerful and much feared. They helped enforce Nazi doctrine, and ran many local government and party affairs in accordance with instructions received from their Führer. The Reichsleitung der NSDAP were originally headquartered in the Brown House in Munich.

These particular service standards, like all Reichsleitung der NSDAP (Reich Leadership of the Nazi Party) car standards, were used as vehicle flags on official journeys and were flown from the right-front fender. The left fender was equipped with a swastika-standard.
